Animal and nature lovers
Betty’s Bay is well known for Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. Enjoy
scenic walks up to the waterfall and admire the many species including
aloes, protea’s, restio’s and erica’s.
It falls within the Kogelelberg Biosphere, internationally recognized by
UNESCO with almost 2000 different species of plants.
Stony Point boasts a large colony of Jackass Penguins which can be
viewed in their natural habitat
Stony Point is also home to a colony of all 4 species of comorants found
in the region.
Bird watching including the rare Black Oyster catcher. Peregrines, Cape
gannets, Rockjumpers and colorful orange-breasted sunbirds
Land based viewing of Southern Right Whales ( May to November) and
sightings of dolphins and seals.
Catch a glimpse of the wild horses on Bot River Estuary
